Invites for a Star Wars Battlefront II close alpha have reportedly snuck their way into the inboxes of a select few lucky players.
According to speculation on a NeoGAF thread (via VG 24/7), those receiving codes are the same gamers that took part in the closed alpha for 2015’s Star Wars Battlefront. The closed alpha reportedly starts today, so anyone that has yet to get an invite is likely not getting one this round. An image of the invite was posted to one player’s Twitter account.

Luckily, there will be a beta available for the shooter prior to its full release, offering a broader opportunity for fans to get their hands on it.
The closed alpha will likely involve the Assault on Theed mission, which was the mission shown off in the game’s E3 2017 gameplay demo. The trial may also test out the game’s newly announced loot crate system, although any earned goods will presumably not carry over to the full game.
Star Wars Battlefront II is slated to launch November 17th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
