Talking to IGN, Mega Man creator Keiji Inafune revealed plans to follow up his upcoming action-RPG Soul Sacrifice with a sequel.
“Soul Sacrifice is something I specifically designed for Vita using [the] hardware’s specific features,” said Inafune. “To drive Vita sales even more, I have an idea for a Soul Sacrifice sequel. I’m actually approaching [Sony] regarding this project.”
“Let’s say the talks are ongoing and I’d love to make it happen,” Inafune stated.
SCE Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida retweeted the IGN story earlier this morning, lending some added legitimacy to Inafune’s comment. In short, a Soul Sacrifice sequel seems pretty damn likely.
Soul Sacrifice—the first game, that is—launches on PS Vita next week, April 30.
