Battlefield 3

With all this talk about Battlefield 4 you’d be forgiven for completely forgetting that Battlefield 3 was still a thing. Well it’s time to remember as Battlefield 3 video extraordinaire Jackfrags has discovered the rarest Easter egg in the game.

DICE has previously hinted that there was still one Easter egg in Battlefield 3 that no one had discovered, until now. The Easter egg relates to spotting anti-aircraft and the message that plays when you do. The man behind the Commo Rose voice over Tomas Danko recorded a special message that will only play under extremely rare circumstances when spotting AA.

The message goes, “We have spotted a hostile Goldfarb in your area. I repeat, hostile Goldfarb in your area. Proceed with extreme caution.” To clear up the confusion, the message is about ex-DICE level designer and writer David Goldfarb.

This Easter egg is so hard to replicate that Jackfrags actually had to go into the game’s sound files in order to hunt it down. Even if you meet all of the variables there’s still only a 1/2000 chance of the audio playing. You can check out a video below.
