Pop Quiz: What has a 100-percent “Fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, stars the creators of Fez, Braid, and Super Meat Boy, and is also available on Steam right now?

That would be Indie Game: The Movie, a 2012 Sundance Film Festival award-winning documentary and general media darling that’s been in the works for a few years. Directed by James Swirsky and Lisanne Pajot, the movie follows a group of developers during the creation, marketing, and aftermath of their respective games.

Edmund McMillen and Tommy Refenes talk about creating Super Meat Boy, while Phil Fish deals with legal trouble in the process of making Fez. Jonathan Blow, who made and finished Braid in 2008, makes an appearance to talk about how his game’s success has changed himself and his career. Hell, even the New York Times really liked the film, and they barely report anything about video games accurately.
