Indie RPG Rainbow Moon is making the leap from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation Vita this December, developer SideQuest Studios announced today.

“After we released Rainbow Moon on PS3 last year, one of the most common questions we received was ‘Are you going to make a Vita version?’ SideQuest Studios CEO Marcus Pukropski wrote on the PlayStation Blog. “Obviously we weren’t the only ones that believed Rainbow Moon would make a great experience for handheld platforms, and with demand being so high, we set about working on a Vita port almost immediately.”

The Vita version will boast 30 new features, as well as improvements and bug fixes made from fan feedback. Most notable among the new features is cross save between Vita and PS3 versions of Rainbow Moon, allowing players to juggle their progress at their whim. Improvements and fixes include skippable experience point counters in the victory screen, using items direction from a quest vendor, and tightened movement control through the left analog stick.

These improvements, fixes, and new features will be added into the PS3 version of Rainbow Moon in a patch coming next month.
