Turbine has announced that Infinite Crisis, its free-to-play DC Universe MOBA, will enter open beta on March 14. The announcement was made at an event yesterday where the developer also revealed three new characters that would be joining the roster: Green Arrow, Aquaman and Mecha Superman.

“We now have three maps, three modes, a huge amount of different ways you can play the game. Twenty-seven characters and, in fact, we are adding a new character every three weeks,” Executive Producer Jeffrey Steefel told Joystiq.

Steefel also mentioned plans to release new costumes for existing characters every week.

Turbine recently revealed that Star Sapphire would be joining the Infinite Crisis roster. Her attacks include Crystal Bomb, Violet Harvest, Bonds of Love, and her Ultimate ability is Manifest.
