Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

Modern Warfare 3 players spotted two announced maps–Shipbreaker and Terminal–on the in-game playlists over the weekend, before they suddenly disappeared.

Infinity Ward’s Mark Rubin has confirmed that the maps did appear in the game and it was a result of the team preparing for upcoming map releases. He said on Twitter, ”Terminal is still on the fence but we are ready, if we can launch that one.”

After hearing this a lot of fans took it as a conformation of the new map coming soon, however Rubin went on to clarify, ”I said it was still on the fence and that we would launch it if we can.” After this comment he went quiet on all questions about the map. No mention was made of the second map, Shipbreaker.

I assume that Terminal will be a rehash of the Modern Warfare 2 map of the same name. Robert Bowling, former creative strategist at Infinity Ward, did previously mention that the team was considering bringing back some old Modern Warfare 2 maps, this could be one of them.
