Infinity Ward Not Worried About Public Perception Of City Bombings In Modern Warfare 3

The Call of Duty series is no stranger to controversy, in Modern Warfare 2 it was for the “No Russian” mission and even Modern Warfare 3 has already made its way into the news with it’s debut trailer due to the underground subway car section.
Modern Warfare 3 takes the fight to a more familiar city setting and as such Activision and Infinity Ward must be preparing for the media to strike at some point after launch.
Xbox-World spoke to Infinity Ward’s Robert Bowling about how the destruction of cities could be perceived by the media.
“I’m not too worried about it because the conflict that’s raging in Modern Warfare 3 is very different from any real life scenario, because this is a war, a full on Russian military invasion of the entire US that started in Modern Warfare 2…”
“this is full on military fighting through the streets, and I think that’s going to be very clear once people play it and get hands on to see what kind of conflict it is.”
