Infinity Ward To Look At Cross Platform Gaming in the Future
Posted on September 25, 2011 AT 10:16am
THE BUZZ: Robert Bowling, Creative Strategist for Infinity Ward, has shared his thoughts on the company implementing cross platform play.
He was recently asked by Australian Gamer if Infinity Ward was planning on implementing cross platform play into future titles, to which he replied, “We [Infinity Ward] take things one game a time. There’s no Cross platform play in Modern Warfare 3. Right now, we’re completely focused on that [MW3], and we’ll look at it [Cross Platform Play]. I think it’s something cool that a lot of people are doing well.”
EGM’s TAKE: Cross platform is a really interesting idea and should bring more gamers together. The upcoming Counter Strike: Global Offensive will be a nice little acid test for other developers.
