October’s update for Injustice 2 came with its own form of combative drama, as shaders and gear disappeared from players’ inventory. To make matters worse, the bug within the update even took premier skins and shaders that players paid for without reason. Thankfully, developer NetherRealm Studios has given a recent updated patch to fans, but it doesn’t solve every issue surrounding the problem.
On September 29th, the official Injustice 2 Twitter account shared a post stating a fix was being worked on to stop gear from being deleted moving forward. Now, the 1.11 patch is available for download and seems to fix part of the issue.
Update: a patch will be available soon that will stop the deletion of Gear. Apologies for the delay and we thank you for your patience!

While players that hadn’t downloaded the initial bug-ridden 1.10 update can now safely update to 1.11 without losing gear, it seems those that did lose their gear still have to wait for another fix. According to Kotaku, players have reported the lost gear still has not been returned and both Warner Bros. Interactive and the developer haven’t offered a reason why.
Sadly, this October update issue overshadowed the release of the latest DLC character, Raiden. The Mortal Kombat icon was added in the 1.10 update, but will not be playable until sometime in October. However, with the current problem, it’s hard to know when it will be safe to download any patches or updates NetherRealm puts out.
Injustice 2 is available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC release possibly coming in the future.
