In between shots of American Idol contestant Taryn Southern striking odd poses and grunting into the camera, Superman murderer Doomsday can briefly be spotted in this new Injustice: Gods Among Us video.

The video is actually about the announcement of the Injustice Battle Arena, a sports-inspired bracket-based showdown of superheroes that will transpire over the next two months. Basically, it’s the videogame answer to all those Who would win in a fight? questions routinely posed on enthusiast message boards. Of course, spotting Doomsday is far more interesting than listening to Ms. Southern vamp for two minutes.
