Insomniac Games has recently come under fire from a number of PS3 owners after their decision to go multiplatform, the developer took to Twitter in order to address the situation.
At E3 this year Insomniac revealed it’s new multiplatform title known as Overstrike, one twitter user had this to say about it;
“Disgusting, absolutely disgusting! We give You support (PS3 fan) and you sell us out making game for both platform”
“not sure how its disgusting when we still are working on two huge PS3 exclusives for this fall”
“But we wouldnt ever want to leave our loyal legion of PlayStation fans behind”
“how did we bakstab anyone? We are still working on PS3 exclusives and our new IP will be on PS3 as well”
There was some support however as one user said;
“Good luck guys, hope all goes well at E3. Multi-platform=more money=less financial constraints=better games for us! Win-win!”
To which they replied;
“ding ding ding. Exactly”
I don’t quite see why the developer is being slated for such a decision when making games for both consoles is surely a good thing for both sides.
