New World Interactive has released some raw PvP gameplay from Insurgency: Sandstorm ahead of the game’s first closed beta.

From August 9th through August 13th, PC owners who have pre-ordered the game on Steam will get exclusive access to the first closed beta. The beta will feature the Firefight, Push, Checkpoint, and Skirmish modes across three maps. There will be no NDA in place during the closed beta, so players can feel free to stream and record videos.

“Each is a complex maze of brutal interiors, deadly sniping lanes, and wide-open battlefields, each uniquely designed to make every moment of every game feel fresh,” the developer writes. “Whether your playstyle is run and gun, slow-paced, or more specialized, you’ll find plenty to study and learn across the maps.”

A second closed beta test is scheduled to begin on August 30th and will contain a further three maps from the final game. This beta test will focus on bug fixing and server stability ahead of the game’s official launch.

Insurgency: Sandstorm launches in September for PC, with PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions to follow in 2019.
