A Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Easter egg hints that the new shooter occupies the same universe as the Modern Warfare series with a nod to successful operations of the past.
Much of Infinite Warfare’s campaign missions will commence from the bridge of the spaceship Retribution. According to a discovery on a poster for the game, the Retribution’s class of ship is designated as SWC-141, which stands for Space Warship Carrier 141.

The number 141 will be significant to any fans of the Modern Warfare series, as Task Force 141 were largely responsible for dismantling the games’ Russian terrorist plot. Apparently the name was recommended by the Russians as recognition for the Task Force’s efforts in saving the Russian president in Modern Warfare 3. It remains to be seen if the two narratives will intersect further once we get the chance to explore Infinite Warfare‘s single-player.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is slated to launch November 4th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and it just recently went gold.
