THE BUZZ: The legendary co-founder of id Software teases a new first-person shooter project.

EGM’s TAKE: Last night on Twitter, member @motorsep send a message to John Romero asking if he had given up on making a “good old school FPS”. Romero is, of course, not only one of the co-founders of id, but also one of the primary designers for games such as Wolfenstein 3D, Doom, and Quake.

In response, Romero had this to say: “Definitely not! I have plans…”

As a humorous follow-up to this, another Twitter member mentioned “rumours of Daikatana 2“, to which Romero replied, “There will be no DK2!”

I’m sure many of you out there will be crushed to here that second part.
