THQ Nordic may be preparing to release Volition’s shooter Red Faction: Guerrilla on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
Listings for the game on both platforms appeared on GameStop’s Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Swedish online stores (via Reddit), but have since been removed.
“Set 50 years after the climactic events of the original Red Faction, Red Faction: Guerrilla allows players to take the role of an insurgent fighter with the newly re-established Red Faction movement as they battle for liberation from the oppressive Earth Defense Force. Red Faction: Guerrilla re-defines the limits of destruction-based game-play with a huge open-world, fast-paced guerrilla-style combat, and true physics-based destruction,” the game’s description reads.
The last game released in the series was Red Faction: Armageddon in 2011, before publisher THQ went under. The series has since been acquired by Nordic, which now goes by the name THQ Nordic.
Red Faction: Guerrilla originally released for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in June 2009, before being brought to PC in September 2009.
