Lego Dimensions

After over a year of searching, fans have finally uncovered a major Easter egg hidden inside of Lego Dimensions.

A number of tips from a producer at Traveller’s Tales told fans that there was something no one had yet found in the game, but it still took months of searching for fans to uncover secret: Doug Rattmann.

Rattmann’s a character with a major presence in the Portal games, though many fans may not know him by name. They’ve seen his handiwork, though?graffiti and paintings on the walls, a collection of coffee mugs in a secret chamber, markings for where to shoot and how to escape, and even the famous “cake is a lie” message. In Portal lore, Doug Rattmann is a paranoid schizophrenic, the only scientist known to have survived GLaDOS’s activation, and a major contributor towards Chell’s survival.

Rattmann is just as tricky to glimpse in Lego Dimensions. In some cases, the player must race across the map in a speed boosted flying vehicle to catch a glimpse of him before he vanishes; in others, he ducks out of sight as soon as the player comes into view. His elusiveness makes him hard to spot, even when you know he’s there, but a video from YouTuber Disney Dan that slows and zooms in on his location makes Rattmann easier to see.

Players have found Rattmann in four different test chambers so far. It took them over a year to find this many, though?perhaps there are still a few more secrets waiting to be uncovered.
