THE BUZZ: Ubisoft has just revealed the official box art for Assassin’s Creed III, confirming that the game will be set in the American Revolution.
The box art, revealed via the official Assassin’s Creed Facebook page, shows an unnamed assassin taking down a soldier with a hatchet. A war wages on behind him with american flags and muskets being waved around.
The PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC versions can be viewed below.
EGM’s TAKE: The Internet is going Assassin’s Creed crazy, first we had the leaked image of the new assassin, then a Game Informer hub cover and now box art. Ubisoft how you spoil us. We’re still not sure quite how an assassin will fit in with this time period. It’s not like the usual skills of hiding in crowds is going to work when you’re standing around in a white garb. Assassin’s Creed III is obviously going to bring about some fundamental gameplay changes to fit in with the war backdrop. Maybe this game will be more about getting into peoples faces and taking them head-on than sneaking around.
