Well well… it seems Japanese news organization Nikkei is now officially confirming some details about the controller and release date for Nintendo’s next home console.
According to them, the controller will feature a 6″ touch display, as well as a built-in camera and rechargeable battery. As well, the report states something I’ve long assumed: when the controller isn’t being used as a controller for the main console, it can, on its own, act as a handheld gaming system.
One other detail comes from the report from Nikkei: a hint at a release date. According to them, Project Cafe (whatever it is officially named) could be released in mid-2012.
