Speculation about the release of a new Yakuza title looks like it may finally pay off soon, as the official website is teasing an announcement during this year’s Tokyo Game Show.

The above cryptic image serves as the page?s banner on the series’ Japanese site and marks a date of September 15th, 2015, the same day as Sony?s TGS press conference. The teaser may allude to a release date announcement for Yakuza 5 outside Japan?not hugely likely given the venue?or it could be prepping gamers for a fresh addition to the franchise.

If the banner and other clues are indeed indicating a new Yakuza title is on the way, it may still be some time before it arrives stateside. Yakuza 5, which came out in Japan back in 2012, is only just now launching for the rest of the world, slated to arrive as a digital download on PlayStation 3 sometime this fall.

Previously, Games Talk uncovered info in the Sega website’s source code that adds even more reason to expect an announcement soon. Code behind an recent image listed something called ?LEXUS? connected with Yakuza Studio.
