Watch Dogs

Late Night’s Jimmy Fallon continues his weeklong coverage of videogames with Ubisoft’s Watch Dogs. Aisha Tyler and Ubisoft’s Nicholas Mainville appeared onstage to demo the game, while Fallon watched from the sideline and asked questions.

Before the game had a chance to boot up, Fallon made a bold prediction: “I think this [Watch Dogs] is going to be game of the year.”

“The way you behave in this world dictates who you become,” Aisha told Jimmy when asked about the main character. “If you make a lot of good choices you’re a hero, and people will treat you like one. If you’re a bad guy the citizens will call the rollers every time they see you.”

The demo paints a better picture of Aiden’s ability to hack just about anything with a power switch, though the parkour segment in the end—as Aiden chased a criminal through city streets—implies you can never underestimate good ol’ fashion action sequences.

Oh, and at the end of the demonstration, Aisha Tyler revealed that she’ll be appearing in Watch Dogs—presumably as one of the game’s NPCs—and invited players to seek out her digital counterpart and hack her.

Watch Dogs will be available on Xbox 360PS3, Wii U, and PC November 19. It will also be released on Xbox One and PS4 later this fall.
