League of Legends developer and publisher Riot Games has revealed and detailed the MOBA’s newest champion: Jinx, the Loose Cannon.
“Jinx lives to wreak havoc without a thought for consequence, leaving a trail of mayhem and panic in her wake,” reads the Story section of the post about the new Champion. “A manic and impulsive criminal, she despises nothing more than boredom, and gleefully unleashes her own volatile brand of pandemonium to the one place she finds dullest: Piltover. With an arsenal of deadly toys, she unleashes the brightest explosions and loudest blasts—all the better to shock and surprise the hapless authorities.”
As far as how Jinx plays, she’s a marksman who carries a massive minigun as her primary weapon, which can be switched out for Fishbones, the rocket launcher. Other abilities include an electrical blast that deals damage and slow enemies called “Zap!”; a line of snare grenades that briefly roots enemy champions called “Flame Chompers!”; and a rocket attack that gains damage as it travels called the “Super Mega Death Rocket!”
League’s latest Champion is currently on the Public Beta Environment for testing. She’s not received a formal release date yet.
