Battlefield 1942 launched 10 years ago and to celebrate DICE is planning on rolling back the years with classic trailers, concept art, retrospects and even a sale.

Every day until September 28 the developer will look back at a part of Battlefield‘s history, to begin with it has released a classic trailer for Battlefield 1942 that was first shown back in 2002. Battlefield 3 players can join in the celebration with the Wake Island Challenge which pits PC players against Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 players in a battle to see who can complete the most rounds on this map.

Origin is also hosting a Battlefield sale with prices of most games in the series cut to just $10, but be quick as the offer is only available until midnight tonight in your time zone. You can check out the Battlefield 1942 trailer below.
