Journey Release Date Announced

THE BUZZ: Sony and thatgamecompany have announced the official release date of PlayStation 3 exclusive Journey.

Journey will be available from March 13 in the US and March 14 in Europe, priced at $9.99.

“In these three years, we at thatgamecompany and our friends in SCEA Santa Monica Studio have faced many challenges together and emerged stronger,” thatgamecompany co-founder Jenova Chen said. ”Much sweat and tears have been put into the development of the game, and many people have come and gone.”

EGM’s TAKE: Journey looks absolutely beautiful for a downloadable title, and many players and critics alike swooned over it when a beta was released last year. But can the full game hold fans as easily as the beta? It stands a good chance that the answer is yes, although you can never be too sure until the you get to play the finished product. Be prepared to get lost in an ever-shifting desert with infinite possibilities this March.
