The creators of Katamari Damacy have banded together to create a brand new adventure in augmented reality: Woorld.
Woorld uses Google’s Project Tango to blend together augmented reality and virtual reality in a “whimsical, exploratory application.”
“By peeking through the window of a supported handheld device, you can explore, discover, and create using digital objects and creatures that you place in physical space,” the Funomena team explains on Woorld’s introductory post. “Even better, you can collaborate on that experience with friends and family as they peer into your Woorld through a shared screen.”
Gameplay details are still scarce, but Woorld will be on display at Google I/O—a conference which runs from May 18th to May 20th.
