THE BUZZ: Nintendo has announced that the highly anticipated Kid Icarus: Uprising, for 3DS, has been delayed until 2012.

According to a press release the development team has decided that it needs more time to complete the title. Nintendo also revealed that they are developing 3D Kid Icarus cartoons in conjunction with various Japanese anime studios. These will be available free to all users through the Nintendo video service on the 3DS.

EGM’s TAKE: The delay of Kid Icarus will be a big blow to Nintendo, who were banking on it to increase sales of its struggling 3DS this Holiday season.
