Killzone

Guerrilla Games has announced that the servers for Killzone 2 and Killzone 3 will be taken offline on March 29th, 2018 after more than six years of operation.

The developer added that the single-player campaign for both games will still be accessible, but all multiplayer functionality will be removed.

“As we near the end of the online lifecycle for Killzone 2 and Killzone 3, we’d like to express how grateful we are for all the support and feedback we’ve received from the community over the last eight years,” the developer wrote. “Your enthusiasm is what drove us to hone our craft and grow as a studio. We hope you enjoyed playing Killzone 2 and Killzone 3 online as much as we did creating them.”

PlayStation fans who are still itching for some Killzone multiplayer action can still pick up Killzone: Shadow Fall on PlayStation 4.

Killzone 2 originally released for PlayStation 3 in February 2009, while Killzone 3 arrived on PlayStation 3 in February 2011.
