Killzone: Mercenary Day-One Patch Fixes Stability, Optimizes Performance

Posted on September 4, 2013 AT 11:07am

Killzone: Mercenary players will need to install a mandatory day-one patch when the title launches on PlayStation Vita later this month, TheSixthAxis discovered.

The 1190 MB update is for “general stability fixes and performance optimizations”—although where they apply to the game is not specified.

With the addition of the patch, the already 3.3 GB game is brought a full 4.5 GB install size.

Killzone: Mercenary launches on PlayStation Vita today in Europe, September 10 in North America. Check out Josh’s review to see whether developer Guerrilla Cambridge accomplishes what Sony has promised with Mercenary: a console-quality first-person shooter experience on a handheld console.
