Several updates are coming to Killzone Mercenary over the next few weeks, one of which will add two free multiplayer maps, developer Guerrilla Cambridge announced today.
In a post on the PlayStation Blog, senior producer Mark Green detailed the planned updates. The next one, Update 3, will reduce the size of the previous two patches, freeing up 800MB of space. The company plans to release Update 3 “in the next few weeks.”
The fourth Killzone Mercenary update is scheduled for January and will improve matchmaking while reducing join-game connectivity problems. Update 4 will also introduce an automatic team-rebalancing feature. Update 5 will follow soon after, bringing two free multiplayer maps and offline Botzone for the Mercenary and Guerilla Warfare multiplayer modes.
Mercenary’s sixth update is slated for release “in the first few months of 2014.” This update will add “continued refinements” as well as Vita TV support.
