Killzone: Shadow Fall dev details two free multiplayer maps in the works

Posted on January 15, 2014 AT 10:39am

Two new, free multiplayer maps inspired by areas from the single-player campaign are coming to Killzone: Shadow Fall, developer Guerrilla Games announced today.

The Cruiser is a map set within a decommissioned ISA cruiser. As such, its full of tight spaces that open up to various interconnected compartments, creating choke points that need to be controlled in order to manage the map.

The Hanger, on the other hand, is a much more open, expansive map. Set in the hanger bay of a Helghan mining spire, The Hanger contains plenty of perches and long lines of sight ideal for sniping.

According to Shadow Fall producer Poria Torkan, the team is currently hard at work on both these maps and the first major DLC expansion for their PS4 debut. He promised more detaiils about its release window “in the near future.” For more on Killzone: Shadow Fall, you can check out my review of the single-player campaign.
