Guerrilla Games producer Poria Torkan took to the PlayStation Blog today to announce Killzone: Shadow Fall‘s season pass, which will net players DLC that adds co-op missions and multiplayer expansions.
According to Torkan, Shadow Fall will have “extensive post-launch multiplayer support” through several DLC packs, six of which are included in the season pass. The first of these will be an online co-op expansion pack, which adds a co-op game mode to the next-gen Killzone in which four players can battle against Horde-esque waves of enemies across four arena maps. The co-op mode will feature “a unique leveling system” and new unlocks.
Said co-op mode will also get three map packs, each one containing two new arena maps.
The last two Killzone: Shadow Fall DLC packs will be for the game’s multiplayer. Torkan says that more information about he multiplayer expansion packs will be made available closer to the game’s launch date, but I think it’s safe to assume that they’ll contain maps and probably new game modes or Warzone options.
Killzone: Shadow Fall launches exclusively for the PlayStation 4 alongside the console on November 15 in North America, November 29 in Europe. The season pass is priced at $19.99.
