Killzone: Shadow Fall’s first multiplayer DLC, The Insurgent Pack, will arrive in April, developer Guerrilla Games announced today.
According to senior online producer Samrat Sharma, The Insurgent Pack will introduce a bevy of new content, including a new class—the Insurgent—that’s able to steal weapons and abilities from fallen enemies and hack ground automata and turn them into allies.
The three original classes, meanwhile, will each gain a new ability. For the Scout there’s the E-Pulse emitter, a deployable beacon that makes it harder for enemies to lay down automata. The Support class will gain the Tactical Echo emitter, also a deployable beacon, but one that makes it more difficult for hidden enemy units to infiltrate a fixed location. Finally, there’s the Guard Drone for the Assault class, a stationary turret of sorts.
Along with these abilities are three new weapons: the M82 assault rifle from Killzone 2 and 3, the L512 SMG pistol, and the Sta14 sniper rifle.
The Insurgent Pack will also add the Elite mode for single-player, which limits players to three lives while playing on Hard, and an Online Collectibles mode in which one crate per match will appear for a limited time. By collecting them players earn extra points and, eventually rewards.
The Insurgent Pack will be free to season pass holders or $9.99 otherwise.
