A post on the official Killzone website details Shadow Fall‘s multiplayer, which was showcased during Sony’s Gamescom press conference yesterday.

As briefly seen in the Gamescom trailer, Killzone: Shadow Fall‘s multiplayer allows players to customize matches in several ways. They can select the number of players allowed, alter the game rules and game types, choose what classes are selectable, what abilities are available, and what weapons can be used. Popular presets built by players can also be shared with the Killzone community.

Progression in Shadow Fall‘s multiplayer will now revolve around completing challenges, of which Guerilla claims there are over 1500 “increasingly difficult challenges,” as opposed to earning XP.

Guerilla Games also promises to support Killzone‘s multiplayer long after launch through additional multiplayer maps released as free DLC.

Killzone: Shadow Fall launches alongside the PS4 on November 15 in North America, November 29 in Europe.
