Developer Guerrilla Games has released a new story-oriented trailer for their upcoming PS4 debut, Killzone: Shadow Fall, which provides a glimpse of the game’s main narrative thread.

Set 30 years after the events of Killzone 3, Shadow Fall tells a tense, more intimate story than its predecessor’s tales of all-out war. Forced to relocate to Vekta and share the same planet as their enemies, the remaining Helghast refugees—under the command of Chancellor Visari—seem discontent to peacefully cohabitate with their Vektan neighbors. And while the potential for a new war boils to the surface, rogue factions are working int he shadows to exact their own plans. To maintain peace and order, players assume the role of Shadow Marshal Lucas Kellan (think sci-fi special operative), who—as indicated by the trailer embedded below—joins with Helghast intelligence operative Echo to prevent a new conflict between the two nations.

Killzone: Shadow Fall launches alongside the PlayStation 4 come November 15 in North America, November 29 in Europe.
