Killzone: Shadow Fall won’t have any co-op modes or multiplayer vehicles when the title launches next month, game director Steven Ter Heide revealed while answering fan questions from Twitter.
According to Ter Heide, online co-op will be added in as part of the previously announced DLC packs after the game’s launch. Guerrilla also has “no plans for split-screen support” for the co-op modes.
Similarly, vehicles such as Exoskeletons or Jetpacks won’t be present at launch, but added in later.
“We wanted to ensure that player-created custom Warzones work on all multiplayer maps,” said Ter Heid,” and the inclusion of vehicles would have introduced too many new variables and exceptions to guarantee this.
Killzone: Shadow Fall will be available alongside the PlayStation 4 as a launch title November 15 in North America, November 29 in Europe.
