Rare’s Xbox One debut, Kinect Sports Rivals, has been delayed from the system’s launch to spring 2014, Polygon reports.
According to an unnamed Microsoft representative who reached out to Polygon, Rare’s next-gen Kinect title needs a little more time to be polished to reach the level of quality the developer and Microsoft expect the Kinect–representing game to possess. A playable demo of Kinect Sports Rivals will still be available at Gamescom in August.
Announced at E3 2013, Kinect Sports Rivals is, functionally, Microsoft and Rare’s answer to Wii Sports. The game features bowling, jetski racing, rock climbing, soccer, target shooting, and tennis.
