Nintendo hasn’t forgotten about Kirby’s 20th anniversary, and they’re bring a sizable collection of classic games to a special Wii release—in Japan.
Andriasang reports via Famitsu that Nintendo has announced six games for the Kirby: 20th Anniversary Special Collection, which is the translated title for the release. That same name would probably be perfect for a North American release, but Nintendo of America’s official Kirby website has no information on that front.
Here’s the six games that’ll be part of the Japan-exclusive release, with selections from Game Boy to the Nintendo 64:
- Kirby’s Dream Land (Game Boy)
- Kirby’s Adventure (Famicom/NES)
- Kirby’s Dream Land 2 (Game Boy)
- Kirby Super Star (Super Famicom/SNES)
- Kirby’s Dream Land 3 (Super Famicom/SNES)
- Kirby 64 (Nintendo 64)
Kirby: 20th Anniversary Special Collection also includes an on-disc calendar that looks back on the whole franchise’s timeline, as well as a special booklet and soundtrack CD, hitting Japan on July 19th. Kirby’s Dream Land, the first game in the series, originally debuted on April 27, 1992 in Japan.
