Despite Kirby Star Allies only recently launching on Nintendo Switch, the first set of DLC characters are already on the horizon. To celebrate, Nintendo’s latest video shows off three of the five Dream Friends in action.
Arriving March 28th in a free update, five characters from different games in the Kirby franchise will be available to use in the Dream Palace. A new gameplay video, which you can check out below, features three of the adorable allies from Kirby’s Dream Land 2—Rick, Kine, and Coo.
Players will be able to access them in the Dream Palace mode, which lets Kirby fight alongside characters from the series, including the already available Meta Knight, King Dedede, and Bandana Waddle Dee. As each friend has a unique set of abilities, the video reveals that Rick can throw fireballs and transform into a rolling boulder, Coo can soar to new heights and send sharp feathers toward enemies, and Kine can move freely in the water to freeze baddies.
While the video only covers Rick, Kine, and Coo, it was revealed during the latest Nintendo Direct that Marx the flying clown from Kirby Super Star and Gooey from Kirby’s Dream Land 3 will also be a part of the free DLC.
Kirby Star Allies is available for the Nintendo Switch.
