The latest trailer for Sony’s PS4 exclusive Knack shows the game’s two-player co-op mode in action.

Co-op in Knack is aimed at younger players or parents unfamiliar with gaming. The second player assumes control of a silver Robo Knack that can help the other player/real Knack collect parts, throw down with enemies, or heal Knack by donating spare parts to him. The second player can drop in or out at any point.

“From the very beginning, Knack was meant to be both a challenging and rewarding old-school style character action game,” associate project manager Nick Accordini wrote in a post on PlayStation Blog, “as well as an accessible ‘gateway’ title for gamers to initiate their friends and family members into the joys of true console gaming.”

Knack launches exclusively for the PlayStation 4 next week, November 15 in North America, November 29 in Europe.
