Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has announced that the team working on the Zone of the Enders sequel has had to be dismantled to work on fixes for the HD collection, leaving the game’s future in doubt.
Kojima announced the news via his radio show (via Siliconera), stating that he was disappointed by the Zone of the Enders HD Collection. Apparently moving the game from 30 frames per second to 60 was just too much for the team and older fans of the series noticed that the gameplay suffered.
The team is currently working on a free patch for the PlayStation 3 version to fix any issues, but there’s no word on an Xbox 360 patch. Kojima finished by saying that he will re-evaluate a sequel once things have been fixed with the HD Collection. He also asked fans if they still wanted a sequel.
