Fans have been in speculation overdrive ever since Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes was announced and one of the most discussed topics is what year the game is set in. The majority of fans feel they have the era nailed down due to Naked Snake’s grey hair and beard in the demo footage, but series creator Hideo Kojima has thrown a spanner in the works.
Kojima took to Twitter to address some speculation regarding the color of Snake’s hair and beard, “Saw many tweet about Snake in grey hair after taking off the goggle. This is due to the rim-lighting.”
So any timelines that fans have come up with previously have now been thrown out the window because Snake is actually younger than he looks, so when is the game set?
