Kojima to show off new MGSV: The Phantom Pain gameplay during Gamescom

Posted on August 1, 2014 AT 04:04am

Konami has announced plans to host a special Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain event in Cologne, Germany.

The event will take place at the Cologne Musical Dome at 8 p.m. CET on August 13, and will be hosted by Geoff Keighley. For those who can’t make it to the actual event, Konami plans to stream it via its official Twitch page.

During the event, Metal Gear Solid series creator Hideo Kojima will present some new gameplay footage of The Phantom Pain “which will show the impressive capabilities of Kojima Productions’ breathtaking FOX Engine and more!” As well as this, Kojima will also host a Q&A session that will reveal “a few surprises.”

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is in development for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, and is expected to launch in 2015.
