Silent Hill

As troubled as Konami may currently be, the company still owns some stellar IPs. Now, they’re asking gamers to complete a ?heritage? survey designed to gauge feedback and interest in revitalizing past titles.

Konami?s remaining fans can help decide the publisher’s future plans for franchises not recently seen on consoles or mobile. Castlevania, Contra, and Zone of the Enders are among the 14 series listed, with respondents asked to pick which titles interest them the most.

Absent from the survey are Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid. The latter’s omission makes sense since a new entry is already on the way, but the former’s less so given it’s the recent source of much fan bellyaching. Since neither are present, the survey is likely not fan appeasement but a company move on the heels of Capcom?s recent revisiting of old titles Resident Evil 0 and Resident Evil 2.

Or maybe they’re just trying to determine the theme for their next pachinko slot machine.
