Latest Broken Age Video Reveals Wil Wheaton as Curtis the Lumberjack

Posted on December 13, 2013 AT 11:06am

Following the VGX announcement of Elijah Wood as the voice of Broken Age‘s male protagonist, Shay, Double Fine today revealed the role Wil Wheaton will be portraying in their upcoming adventure title.

The geek icon will be playing Curtis the lumberjack in Broken Age, who is described as a sort of hipster outdoorsy woodsman type who has managed to anger the sentient trees of the forest he lives in. As a result, Curtis has barricaded himself in his cabin, where he awaits the inevitable Day of the Tree.

Wheaton, of course, is best known for playing Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation and playing a fictionalized, villainous version of himself on The Big Bang Theory. Wheaton was also the voice of Robobrain in Fallout: New Vegas. He joins he likes of Adventure Time creator Pendleton Ward, Jack Black, Jennifer Hale, Elijah Wood, and Harmonix CEO Alex Rigopulos.

The first part of Broken Age is set to launch this coming January.
