The fourth EA Sports UFC gameplay video overviews the game’s Career mode, in which your player-created character must work his way from the ground up to become a belt-carrying champion.
Narrated by creative director Brian Hayes, the video provides a glimpse at EA Sports UFC’s character-creation system, through which players tailor their fighter’s looks—anything from eye color to tattoo design—and their attributes, such as clinch control, kick speed, and punch speed. From there, players must take their characters to the gym to train their skills up to a level that’s viable in the main circuits.
Career performance is determined by two factors: longevity and popularity. As these increase, so too do your sponsor options and appeal to other fighters. Victory also brings with it evolution and experience points, the former for upgrading attributes, the latter automatically applied to your levels, which unlock abilities across three categories: ground, stand-up, and physical.
EA Sports UFC launches on PS4 and Xox One June 17.
