As a reward for skilled, experienced, level 100 Payday 2 players, Overkill Software has implemented a new system called Infamy, the developer announced.

Level 100 players can become infamous by ponying up $200,000,000—that’s $200 million—of in-game cash. Purchasing into Infamy costs all level progress and spent and unspent skill points (plus that $200 million), but players get to keep their guns, mods, masks, et cetera. What you gain, however, is one of 14 Infamy cards that tell other players they’re rolling with a pro, one Infamy point to use on a new skill tree. Currently only one unlock point and one tier are available. The others will open up ”at a later date.”

Right now, Infamy is only attainable on the Windows PC version of Payday 2, added in as part of the game’s most recent free update. No word yet on when (or if) it’ll come to Payday 2’s console versions.
