Fallout

Two new console updates have launched in tandem for Bethesda’s two biggest RPGs, Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition.

The updates are now available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One after being available on the PC for some time. The updates—1.4 on Skyrim and 1.9 on Fallout 4—bring with them a handful of bug fixes, as well as improvements to the mod browsing system. These improvements allow players to see the favorites and ratings that mods have received and then search the mods on a daily, weekly, monthly, or all-time criteria of Highest Rated or Most Favorited.

The Fallout 4 update holds a bonus for PS4 Pro owners in the form of new support for the console’s additional processing power. It will allow players to run the game at 1440p resolution, enhancing a variety of visual effects like god-ray light effects and draw distances for certain elements. The PC-exclusive High Resolution Texture Pack for Fallout 4 can also be downloaded now for free.

The full patch notes for both games can be found below.
