Speaking to Belgian game magazine Chief, Raphael Colantonio – lead designer of the upcoming first-person shooter Dishonored – said that games such as Call of Duty are ruining the market for games such as Dishonored by making players stupid.

“If you first make gamers stupid with Call of Duty and out of nowhere you come with a game like Dishonored …” Colantonio said.

On the other hand, he said that games like Bioshock and Deus Ex make players think, and are training players to be better gamers. After playing games such as those, Colantonio noted, they’d be ready to play Dishonored.

As a final jab of the knife to Activision’s epic franchise, Colantoni said that he’s “not very impressed with Call of Duty.”
