Left 4 Dead 2 Cold Stream DLC Is Nearly Complete

Posted on March 19, 2012 AT 06:45am

THE BUZZ: Development of the Cold Stream DLC for Left 4 Dead 2 is almost complete.

Valve revealed in a recent blog post that it is in the process of bug fixing and polishing, however it is still not ready to offer a release date.

“Now that we have a solid version of the maps (some minor changes still coming), we are focused on the DLC and getting some pesky bugs out of the shipping version. As soon as we have a release date we will let you know,” the developer said.

The DLC will add a community made campaign in addition to the classic maps Death Toll, Dead Air, Blood Harvest and Crash Course.

EGM’s TAKE: Some of the campaigns that the community has created have been simply amazing. It’s good to see that Valve is giving them some recognition by including their work in this new DLC content. The return of some classic maps will also please fans. This whole DLC pack is an homage to the Left 4 Dead 2 community, as without them the game would have died long ago.
