Valve has announced that the Left 4 Dead 2 Workshop is now out of beta and live for all, allowing players to create their own campaigns, items, weapons, and clothing.

Prior to launch valve enlisted the help of a number of players to create content for the Workshop. Apparently, over 1,000 items were created and Valve promises that they will appear in the game soon.

An update to the game adds a new menu option called “add-ons,” this allows players to browse currently installed items and search for new ones via the store.
